PARI-MP Living Library

Residents volunteer to be a living “book”, with a title that med students can “check out” for a 25 min time slot.  This provides students/fellow residents with the chance to sit and chat with a resident whose title matches their interest. 

Generally speaking, the event runs for approx. 3-4 hours in total, therefore each med student has an opportunity to check out approx 6-8 books during this period.  Books are reserved on a first come, first serve basis.  Last year we had over 15 residents volunteer to be books.  Each with his or her own unique title(s) and represented a variety of topics.
