 The CFMS is now seeking a Blood Drive Chair!

This person will be responsible for organizing and promoting the CFMS’s year-round blood donation activities, and for overseeing volunteers at each campus who are involved in the blood drive efforts. Past CFMS blood drives have been very successful, and this will be an important project in the coming year!

POSITION DESCRIPTION – CFMS BLOOD DRIVE CHAIR

Blood Drive Chair

The key responsibilities of this individual are to organize and promote the CFMS’ year round blood donation activities and to oversee volunteers at medical school campuses across the country dedicated to the blood drive efforts.

This involves recruiting and organizing representatives at each school to work as a part of Canadian Blood Service’s (CBS) Partners For Life program and communicating with CBS coordinators to organize and promote donation activity and ensure that the blood drive is as successful as ever! As in years past, the CFMS would once again like to promote the OneMatch, the Canadian unrelated bone marrow donor registry.

The CFMS is CBS’ longest-standing national partner, and in the last few years, that partnership has grown to the point that we are now producing donation numbers higher than we had ever thought possible! As a result of the strong work of medical students across the country, the CFMS has been nationally recognized in the past by Canadian Blood Services for its work – it is quite apparent that this is a very important project!
