Welcome to one of the most coveted streets in Halifax—Duncan Street. I am a writer, living alone, with a lovely spare bedroom with an exceptionally comfy, nest like Queen-sized bed surrounded by original artwork and two closets. Rooming here includes full access to the second floor family room (with big-screen TV for downtime), main floor living room (for quiet reading respite), the dining room and kitchen (fresh coffee beans and burr grinder on the countertop at all times) plus laundry, wifi, parking if you need it, and access to a beautiful flowered backyard (seasonally, of course) along with two decks. Fantastic restaurants and two grocery stores are a stone’s throw walk away.
Down town is a 12-minute walk, the hospital about a 7-minute walk and Dalhousie about 17 minutes if you hoof it. The Commons is one short street away, where you can skate away the cold winter nights (skates rented FREE if you do not have a pair) and Citadel Hill and the ocean just a wee bit beyond. Bus routes are on Robie Street (2-minute walk) to take you anywhere you need to go. Quinpool road, with many coffee shops, Morris East (best stone-baked pizza in town) grocery store, the NSLC and other shops, is a 5-minute walk. Rinaldo’s, with the best meatball sandwich in town, is kitty-corner to where you will be living. Towels, linens and all staples provided. Groceries up to you, but we can negotiate in some meals it as I do love to cook.
I’m tidy, respectful and laughter-filled person, with an active life, massive bookcase with many good reads, and lotsa friends. I’m happy to provide space and the odd bit of conversation should you like it (or not) while you are here on your medical internship.
